My bestie betrayed me

Emma, her boyfriend Ryan and her best friend Mia share the same circle, which is exactly what makes the damage so hard to contain. The story begins with Emma tracking Ryan down on a night she expected nothing unusual, then follows how a private betrayal turns into a public contest: whose account will other people accept? This is one of the longest runs in Candy's catalogue, so the free episodes are only the opening move of a much larger arc.

Emma goes looking for Ryan, heads upstairs and finds exactly what she hoped she would not. He scrambles for an alibi before she has said a word. The second episode picks up afterward: he blames Mia's drinking, swears it meant nothing and begs for a hearing, while Emma refuses his pet names. A warning follows that causing trouble is pointless, because no one would side with her. Emma answers by handing Ryan over to Mia as the prize she is welcome to.

Low in the free stretch. What is on offer here is confrontation: a discovery, a weak excuse and a breakup line, with the betrayal itself reduced to a moment of recognition. Whatever heat the series builds later has to be earned past this opening.

A fit for viewers who prefer cheating stories told from the betrayed side, with a lead worth rooting for and a long runway if the premise grabs you. The opening scene is short and the verdict arrives fast, so episode 1 is an easy place to start.
