Mona's Worst Enemy

Mona, an adult and a returning face in Candy's catalog, has a sharp tongue and no plan to be polite to her stepbrother. Their parents' new arrangement has put them under one roof, and the two have settled into a steady war of eye rolls, accusations and nicknames. Nobody calls it attraction. The story lives in the awkward middle: a ride home, a chore handed down by a parent's girlfriend, an evening out.
