Not Under My Roof

A groom is days from the altar when his fiancée's mother cancels his bachelor party with every relative watching. He reads it as proof she dislikes him. The setting is the family home during wedding week: relatives around, the fiancée upstairs sleeping off a long brunch, and a mother-in-law who plainly runs the household. What she has in mind instead is the open question, and it is not the kind of plan anyone announces at the dinner table.

The mother-in-law shuts the party down, the fiancée goes up for a nap, and the groom is then led aside to a back room where the rule is discretion: nobody wakes the daughter. The second episode finds Bianca, the fiancée's godmother, waiting there, and the whole thing is passed off as rehearsal dinner prep. He stalls and points upstairs. The teasing sharpens once he realizes the real draw is his mother-in-law, and the episode ends on her promise of something bigger.
