Candy AI, 18+
Candy AI NSFW rules (2026): what is allowed in Shorts, chat, images and video
Candy AI is an adult platform, but not an anything-goes one. Its own policies set the limits, and the Shorts catalogue shows where the 18+ line sits in practice.

In short
- Shorts: 145 series play for anyone; 14 only appear after a free signup, with blurred covers until then.
- Chat, images and video: adult content is allowed for adults. Premium lists "Generate 18+ Videos" and "Generate 18+ Images".
- Hard limits: anything involving minors or resembling minors, illegal content, hate, violence and self-harm, and deceptive impersonation of real people.
- Moderation is automated with Candy's own language model, with manual review of flagged accounts.
The 18+ line in Candy Shorts
Candy's catalogue has three filters at the top: All, New and Spicy. Spicy is the adult tier, and it behaves differently from the rest. Browse logged out and its series are replaced by a blurred card that says "Sign up to view". On 14 October 2026 that applied to 14 of the 159 series; the other 145 open normally, two free episodes each.
The signup costs nothing and asks for no card. So the gate is not a paywall: it is Candy deciding which titles a stranger should not see on arrival. The open series are suggestive drama built around taboo setups; the explicit end of the catalogue sits behind the signup.
Candy's standalone Shorts site, candyshorts.com, run by the same company, does not show the Spicy series at all.
Chat, images and video
Outside Shorts, adult content is part of the product. The Premium plan screen lists "Generate 18+ Videos" and "Generate 18+ Images" among its benefits, next to unlimited messages and 100 tokens a month. In a chat, a Video mode turns a request into a generated clip, and a Scene Video button offers a 5-second video of the current moment, shown at 12 tokens. Longer durations (10, 15, 20 and 60 seconds) exist in the page code but were switched off for logged-out visitors when we looked.
What Candy prohibits
The Blocked Content Policy applies to every text, image and video created on the platform. Its list, in Candy's order:
- Illegal content of any kind, including drugs, weapons and incitement.
- Hate speech and discrimination against protected characteristics.
- Violence and harm, including self-harm, suicide and terrorism.
- Child exploitation, with zero tolerance, and separately any content resembling minors: attempts are flagged, reviewed and removed.
- Privacy and copyright infringements.
- Deceptive or harmful impersonation of real people, public figures and celebrities.
The Community Guidelines add that trying to get around moderation, the "jailbreak" route, is itself a breach, and can end with a suspended or closed account. The Underage Policy says known abuse material is reported to the US National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
How the rules are enforced
Conversations are private, but Candy says it runs moderation controls built on its own language model, and that flagged content can be reviewed by hand together with the rest of the account. Outcomes range from removing content to closing the account and reporting it.
The real performers in the Candy Creators collection are a related case: their series use AI likenesses that Candy presents as the performers' own digital twins, which is why impersonation rules do not apply to them. There are 19 Creators series, 14 of them open, all at 30 tokens an episode.
The short verdict
Candy is explicit where an adult has signed up and asked for it, and careful on the parts a stranger sees first. If the 145 open series feel tame, that is by design: the 14 signup-only ones are where the 18+ material sits. If you want to compare how other apps handle the same line, start with the safety page.
