Mona's Obsession

Mona is another outing for Candy's recurring character, an adult in her pushiest mode. Her stepbrother has a steady girlfriend, a shared house and a stepsister who treats privacy as a suggestion. She walks in unannounced, asks pointed questions and keeps what she knows about his relationship within easy reach. The tension is whether he can keep two women apart under one roof, and whether Mona truly wants him or simply wants to win. Her chosen weapon is attention, and she delivers it constantly.

The first episode is a study in intrusion. Mona strolls in while her stepbrother is watching something private and grills him about who it was and whether she looks better. Sent to collect her for the gym, he walks in on her getting ready, though she insists she invited him. She threatens to tell his girlfriend something that would sound a lot like an affair, and the episode ends with a fall that has him rushing to check on her. The second episode puts her in his bathroom, borrowing his shirt while blaming him for the fall. His girlfriend arrives, and Mona stays to chat.

Heavy on tease and provocation: a bathroom intrusion played for discomfort, suggestive talk and a girlfriend in the next room. The free episodes stay short of anything explicit, as far as the dialogue shows. The tension is the point, and nothing is allowed to pay off yet.

Best for viewers who like a pushy stepsister, a cheating-adjacent tightrope and plenty of squirming. Begin with episode 1: the intrusion, the threat and the fall will tell you whether Mona's obsession is one you want to follow.
